Lodge History   The Mentasta Mountains stand between two of the most spectacular geographic features in the world; the Wrangell-St Elias and Alaska mountain ranges. At the Log Cabin Inn you will be where John Wayne and Andy Divine came to escape the rigors of Hollywood and drink in the pure air and quiet hush of Alaska. You may choose one of the vintage cabins like the “Duke” preferred, or one of the modern facilities with all amenities. Moose, dall sheep, lynx, wolf and bear all make their natural home in the area. Swans raise their young on nearby ponds and artic grayling shimmer in the current of the nearby Little Tok River. |
