activitiesHave you ever dreamed of a place in the wilderness? Have you ever wondered what it would be like away from the noise and the hectic pace of life that erases time and all of life’s magic moments in it? Dream no more. A piece of heaven and frontier history awaits you in the Mentasta Mountains of Alaska. John and Jill Rusyniak of Tok, Alaska have made one of their dreams come true. These hearty and hard working Alaskans who have made their Cleft in the Rock Bed and Breakfast one of the most successful in Interior Alaska wanted the perfect place to give guests the true Alaska experience. John and Jill found that opportunity when they purchased the historic activities“Log Cabin Inn” 28 miles south of Tok. “Jill and I knew this was the right location. A meandering creek, swooping peaks, wildlife all around us and a history in place that oozes Alaska,” said John.

The Rusyniaks built the quintessential 4000 square round foot log lodge. As the center for their guest to gather and socialize and partake of delicious home cooked breakfasts and evening meals the new “Log Cabin” will carry on a tradition that began over 50 years ago When Mr. And Mrs. Robert C. Jilson advertised the following in the 1949 Alaska Milepost Magazine: ‘Here is one of the prettiest parts of the Little Tok Valley. The Log Cabin is located on a clear mountain stream. Individual log cabins offer privacy, and excellent home cooked meals are served in the dining room from 7:00 am until 9:00pm. The fall season brings our unbelievable brilliant reds and golds on the birches and aspens in this valley presenting the photographer some exceptional opportunities.”
