Tok, Alaska, is a prime destination for big game trophy hunting, offering independent, fly-in, and guided hunts with local outfitters.  Hunters can pursue game such as caribou, moose, black and grizzly bears, dall sheep and game birds in the surrounding vast, rugged landscapes. Tok provides the perfect jumping off point for day trips to Chicken, Alaska to experience the rich gold mining history of the area.  Travelers can go gold panning, tour an historic gold dredge, shop for gifts, look for wildlife, and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains on the Taylor Highway, and the rugged beauty of Alaska on a hike or scenic drive.  On your way, stop by and pick plentiful blueberries, cranberries, and cloudberries. 

Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Alaska’s largest national park, and a hidden gem, offers an awe-inspiring wilderness of towering mountains, glaciers, and vast valleys. Tok has some of the darkest skies in the world, and especially in late winter/early spring, some of the clearest.
